Exciting news from one of our close strategic friends in the Central Texas construction world!

Sixth Gen Construction in Austin, TX is on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our staff as a Project Manager. This is a full-time position offering a base salary of $80-85,000 per year to include a lucrative incentive program and you will have every resource available to thrive in this role.

As our Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our project operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will span various crucial areas, including procurement, estimating bid packets, time management, change orders, and providing essential support to our leadership team. We operate in the remediation vertical and manage client relationships with every substantial provider in Central Texas. If the structure has been flooded or on fire Sixth Gen is typically the first call for Austin based facilities. Our operational focus will always start with a structure in distress, how to re-establish functionality ASAP, and then completion build outs needed. We are responsible for getting facilities back up and running good as new!

Let's dive into the responsibilities for a Sixth Gen Project Manager:

Procurement: Your ability to source materials and supplies efficiently will be instrumental. You'll be responsible for identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to our job sites.

Negotiation Skills: Your ability to negotiate effectively with clients regarding estimate packages, subcontractors, supply vendors and other stakeholders will be crucial for project success.

Communication: As the primary point of contact for our project team, you'll need to be readily available to handle communication and address any project-related issues.Time Management: Keeping track of project timelines, milestones, and deadlines will be key. Accurate scheduling and time management are essential for project success.

Change Orders: You'll facilitate the processing of change orders, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to document and implement changes to project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Support to Leadership: Administrative tasks are part of the gig. You'll help manage project documentation, estimating adjustments based on bid packets, schedule meetings, and handle correspondence, allowing our leadership team to focus on strategic tasks.

Now, let's talk about what we need from you:
Verified experience in project management and estimating for commercial construction projects.
Prior usage of Xactimate software for bid submission is preferred
Ability to work independently while aligning with project objectives and deadlines.
Refined communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other project management tools.
Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
