A committed hardworking ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT with at least 2 years minimum of ground-up & remodel experience working for a commercial general contractor.

Overview:  What You’ll Be Doing

  • Project Scheduling – maintaining weekly updates
  • Safety enforcement along with conducting weekly onsite toolbox meetings
  • Utilizing Procore to complete daily reports
  • Coordinating inspections
  • Generating and completing punch lists
  • Contacting and scheduling subcontractors – this ability must be second nature to motivate job related subcontractors/suppliers to meet intent of specific plans & specifications
  • Organizing and conducting weekly onsite subcontractor meetings to discuss safety practices, current events, schedule, quality control, etc.
  • Working with office staff and respond in a timely manner, including but not limited to emails

Qualifications & Requirements

You must:

  • Be OSHA Trained; safety is first and foremost and you must have formal training to ensure we truly are taking care of our people, our clients, and their properties.
  • Have a general knowledge and understanding of horizontal and vertical construction to include Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing
  • You must be customer centric, and you’ll need to have experience working with representatives of various city building & development departments
  • Have the ability to interpret blueprints and coordinate between architectural & structural & MEP designs to ensure they flow together and match
  • Have strong attention to detail – this is of the utmost importance; saying again, this is IMPORTANT and have the ability to constantly validate the Construction Documents (CDs) are being adhered to
  • Use clear and assertive communication in the field; assertive but not be aggressive, we are providing a service for our clients, and we respectfully communicate with our fellow team members
  • Be a problem solver with a proactive mentality – this is not just a skill, but a reflection of your desire to fully understand and embrace a challenge until a solution is accomplished.
  • Maintain ethical business practices in every aspect of your daily actions.  Do it right the first time and we speak with honesty, humility whenever needed.
  • Be available and willing to voluntarily work afterhours. Some projects require more than others, but at critical points can demand extra time commitments.  We need folks to help us continue to service above and beyond our client’s expectations.
  • Have a dependable form of transportation.  
  • Be available, punctual, and accountable for meetings, requests from staff, etc.
